Lesson 3
Chimaera:
This time around we are going to talk about the Chimaera. What is a Chimaera? This beast is a very rare creature that originated in Greece. This creature is actually made up of 3 different creatures. Starting at its head, and working our way down. The Chimaera's head is in the form of a lion. The body of one resembles a goat, and the tail of this beast is that of a dragon. These creatures lay eggs which have been given the classification of Class A- Non-Tradable Good. Why are their eggs given such a high rating? That’s because this beast is one to not be messed with. The Chimaera has the reputation of being a blood-thirsty creature who gives no mercy to anyone who crosses its path. Sound like a good reason to give the Chimaera a XXXXX rating now doesn't it? So a Chimaera egg isn't the thing you want sitting around when it’s about to hatch. Well, unless you want to be its lunch. Now being the horribly vicious beast they are, some people felt the need to go and try and kill them. Well let's just say that usually doesn't work out so well...But there has been one recorded slaying of a Chimaera that was actually successful. Well, Karma can back for that wizard. As he was returning from his mission that was successful, his exhaustion got the best of him. The wizard who had just slayed a Chimaera couldn’t hold onto his flying horse any longer. The wizard fell from the horse and plummeted to his death. So just goes to show that you shouldn't mess with a Chimaera! They apparently get their revenge even from the grave.
Nundu:
Now let's talk about the most dangerous beast known to the wizarding world. Its name is Cassandra Lobiesk! I mean the Nundu. Now if you were to go to look for this beast, first of all I would recommend you get someone to diagnose your insanity. But I guess you would also like to know they live in East Africa. Now unlike the Chimaera the Nundu is not made up of more than one animal. It is a single animal that looks very much like a massive leopard. Now despite its massive size the Nundu can creep around the African jungles without making a noise. Now what makes this beast so dangerous is the Nundu's breath. What's so dangerous about its breath? Well, the breath of a Nundu carries diseases and has been known to carry through villages of East Africa and wipe out their entire population. Anyone have a breath mint to give to a Nundu? Now that we know how dangerous this creature is and what makes it dangerous, don't be thinking you can go capture one by yourself. No, no, no. Experienced wizards have better luck stunning a Dragon than a Nundu. Yes, Dragons have been stunned by about 10 wizards. Nundu's on the other hand have been stunned by no less than 100 wizards at once! So I do NOT recommend you and your friends go looking for one of these creatures. Well, unless you like horrible diseases.
